WINSLOW ANGLO FRENCH TWINNING ASSOCIATION 

WAFTA was formed in 1980 to promote Anglo French relations by encouraging and  facilitating the friendship of  Winslow and Cours la Ville citizens.  We have worked to fulfil the aims of our constitution by

• encouraging other organisations in the town to exchange with their opposite numbers in Cours;

• holding regular events in Winslow to raise funds, increase our membership and knowledge of all-things French whilst maintaining our profile in the town. 

• formally engage in annual exchange visits, although many individual friendships have established more frequent links.

Membership is open to any member of the community who is interested.

• Maybe you are interested in the monthly events we run?

• Maybe you are interested in going to France or receiving visitors from France?

• Maybe you just feel you want to support the organisation financially without ever becoming more involved ?

In any event,  membership is very reasonable at £5 per household for the year.

Worried that you don't speak any French?   Don't worry - only a few of us do although we are exploring opportunities to improve on these skills for those who wish to learn more.  For example, in the past we have run a children’s Club, Chouette, as well as French classes for Adults. Both proved successful and it may be that we will run these again in the near future.
