Getting to know the people and the places
When you’re interested in how the French live, their food and wine, the towns and the country villages, and all the things that make them different, Twinning is the easy and friendly way to get to know the people and the places.
We are able to enjoy the warm hospitality of French family life that’s such a welcome contrast to impersonal hotels. As a group, we meet our French friends every year, alternating the visits between Cours and Winslow, strengthening old friendships and making new ones. And one of the first things we tell anyone interested in taking part is that it isn’t necessary to speak any French at all, unless you wish to.
Firm friendships
Over the years literally thousands of people have experienced each other’s customs, environments and family life at first hand. Many firm individual and family friendships have been established and have lasted down the years.
This year – 2020 – we celebrate our 40th Anniversary and with it the relationships and the mutual understanding that have grown up since we first got together.
Between visits we organise a broad programme of social events and activities throughout the year, in and around Winslow, which adds to the fun and keeps us all in touch.
